2023 August veggie garden video tour

I thought you might enjoy this video I took of my veggie garden in early August 2023. When I see this video now, the garden looks pretty good. I just want to see some GREEN now instead all this white snow but I know we need as much snow as we can get due to our droughty area. Yes I said, ‘droughty’!  Walk with me while I do this year’s summer tour of the veggie garden.

Oh, this is amusing, like how radio stations play Christmas music on the hottest days of July, only backward. It is a bit of summer, . . . sort of, at the beginning of winter, . . . or what is considered to be winter here. Some of those vegetables are spring and autumn vegetables here, such as the cauliflower and kohlrabi spaceships. They can grow through summer here, but take a bit more effort. That is why this is only ‘sort of’ summery by my standards. The strawberries are rad! So are the raspberries! Honeyberry is, . . . interesting. I have not tried to grow it yet. Seeing it there is somewhat encouraging, even if your climate is very different. I intend to try it eventually because I can get rooted cuttings inexpensively. Your climate is so weirdly interesting. It is hard to imagine that it is under snow now! Anyway, I should not get so carried away.
