SEED STARTING 101—Learn tricks and tips on seed starting. Want to grow some unusual varieties of vegetables but can’t find them in your local nurseries? Come to this class to learn how to grow them from seeds and which varieties do well here in our area.
March 24th/April 7th–two part class—12 noon to 2 pm
GARDENING 101—Learn the basics of successful vegetable gardening in our high altitude. Sponsored by Santa Fe Extension Master Gardeners
May 5th-12 noon to 2 pm
LEARN HOW TO DO A DRIP SYSTEM AND SAVE WATER—Learn how to do a simple drip irrigation system. This hands-on class is an introduction to installing your own drip irrigation in your garden, which is the best and most water-efficient way to water your plants. Sponsored by Home Grown New Mexico.
August 25th–12 noon to 2 pm
FLOWERS GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT—Add beautiful colors to your meals with edible flowers! In this class, learn which flowers are edible flowers. We will walk around the the Tomato Lady gardens, identifying and gather edible flowers and herbs. Then, we will taste our freshly cut flowers and sample some dishes made with them.
