COVID strikes

I’m not looking for sympathy but in case you were wondering why I haven’t’ posted lately or approve comments, it’s because I had been sick with COVID. It lasted 20 days for me and I was sicker than a dog. I took Paxlovid pills and was starting to feel better when I started to feel bad again. Turns out I had a relapse. Hence the 20 days. I had my vaccinations and one booster and was going to get the second booster the week I got sick. I had escaped it for 2.5 years but went to a party in June and wasn’t as good as I should of been, pulling my mask down and pushing it up frequently. Turned out that 17 out of 30 people got COVID from that party. So be careful folks-wear your masks. I know we all are experiencing burnout but the new variations are extremely contagious and you don’t want to get Omicron, whatever version-it’s no picnic (at least for me).

So now that I’m over it, I’m finally returning to the garden (Yay!) and will post what’s up in the garden in July. I got lots to catch up on! Stay tuned.

I’m glad you’re back in the garden!! Thanks for the cautionary tale. So far I’ve avoided Covid. Will order more N95 masks.

I’m loving the little yellow drip tool! 🙏

  7. Elodie said you were ill. So sorry to hear ‘it’ got you. My family members and close friends are vaxxed to the max, but most of them all got it recently, too (1st or second time around). This strain is a doozy. We’re masked up in public places (esp since we live in FL) but you never know who might be a carrier in small gatherings. Glad you are feeling better. I’m sure your garden missed you! Stay healthy, my friend! xo

    Hi Jannine,

So sorry to read this! Hope you’re on the mend soon.

Just wanted to let you know that I am still using all of the info from your tomato class a few years ago! This year, our ten plants (which we grew from seed) are thriving, after treating them with kid gloves (walls of water, then cages inside tubes. They look glorious and every time I see our success in the garden, I know that you deserve a lot of the credit!

Looks like we are going to have a lot of tomato horn worms this year… ugh, it’s always something. But at least we haven’t been demolished by hail, excessive heat, or any other weather issues this year.

Anyway, sending healing energy in your direction!

    All the best, Amy
