Iris at 2 years old

Iris, our black La Mancha goatie girl, peacefully passed away this past weekend. She was 15 years old. We got her at 2 years old. She was always very skitterish but would always take apples and grape leaves from our hands. We noticed her fading the last 6 months or so and knew it was coming. !5 is a ripe old age for a goat.

We are now left with only one brown goat, Pumpkin. She is also a La Mancha goat. We don’t want anymore goats, so we are looking for a good retirement home for her as goats need another goat as a companion. If anyone out there has a goat or has a single horse that needs a goatie friend (she and Iris were our horse’s companions), she is use to horses too, please write me at jcabossel@hotmail.com.
